FAILURE TO ABIDE BY THESE RULES MAY RESULT IN YOUR TEMPORARY OR PERMANENT REMOVAL FROM THE RANGE AS WELL AS FINES, SUSPENSION, AND/OR REVOCATION OF YOUR MEMBERSHIP.

1. All members and guests must sign in at the club house and sign a Fayette County Gun Club “Liability Release Form” before using the Range.

2. Members are fully responsible for their guest(s) at the Fayette County Gun Club. Members must ensure all guests have signed in at the club house, signed the “Liability Release Form”, are aware of and follow all rules and regulations of the FCGC, and have paid the appropriate fees for the use of the Fayette County Gun Club facilities.

3. All members are required to carry their membership card when using the FCGC Facilities.

4. A Parent or Guardian must always accompany a child (under 18) and are responsible for the actions of the child. In addition, the parent/guardian must have the membership card.

5. Always lock the gate after you enter and when you leave if a Range Officer is not on duty.

6. FCGC posted signs must be obeyed.

7. ABSOLUTELY NO ALCOHOL OR DRUGS ALLOWED ON FCGC FACILITIES.

8. Smoking is not allowed outside of designated areas.

9. Use of eye and ear protection is mandatory for all persons on or near the firing line.

10. Safety commands issued by Range Officers must be immediately obeyed without question.

11.Barricaded/Closed facilities and/or ranges shall not be used until permission has been granted by the FCGC Range Officer or Shoot/Event Coordinator.

12. The use of shotgun facilities and equipment outside of normal business hours and official shoots/events is not allowed without approval by a FCGC Range Officer or Board Member.

13. Shooting hours are from Sunrise to Sunset.

14. No fully automatic firearms are to be used without prior approval by a FCGC Board Member.

15. 50 BMG caliber rifles are not allowed to be used.

16. Shooting tracer, incendiary, steel shot, and/or armor piercing ammunition is strictly prohibited.

17. Shot larger than 7.5 is strictly prohibited when using the Shotgun Facilities (i.e. Skeet, Trap, 5-Stand, Sporting Clays, etc.).

18. Bird shot is strictly prohibited when using the Rifle and Pistol Facilities.

19. You must call a cease-fire and verify this with every shooter at the firing line before going down range or coming back to the firing line. Firearms must be unloaded, their actions open, and completely clear of ammunition. Absolutely no firearm handling, unloaded or otherwise when there are shooters down range.

20. You may only shoot proper targets attached to the FCGC target holders. Shots should not hit the wooden framework at the rifle range nor the wooden target supports at the pistol range. Bullets must impact the BERM below the mid line. Shooting glass, tin cans, plastic containers, etc. on the ground IS STRICTLY FORBIDDEN.

21. Always keep the action open and firearm unloaded until ready to shoot. In other words, firearms not on the firing line must be unloaded, their actions open and magazines removed.

22. Always keep guns pointed in a safe direction and keep your finger off the trigger until ready to shoot.

23. Know your target, what is beyond and that it is safe to shoot.

24. Targets at the 50-yard pistol range (Bay 2) must be placed at least 25 yards from the firing line to ensure all shots hit the berm and do not ricochet over.

25. Clean up after yourself and put all shot targets, spent ammunition, and trash in the trash can.

26. NO HUNTING OR FISHING ALLOWED ON THE FCGC PROPERTY!

27. Lost Membership Cards should be reported to our Membership Chairperson so a replacement can be issued and a replacement fee can be paid.

28. If an emergency occurs at FCGC, utilize the available First Aid Kits, dial 911 and provide the emergency information to the 911 operator as well as the following:

29. If a non-emergency occurs at FCGC, utilize the available First Aid Kits as needed and inform the FCGC Range Officer or Shoot/Event Coordinator if one is present. Otherwise, please call the FCGC (979) 484-7177 and leave a message indicating where the incident occurred (ex. Rifle Range, Pistol Bay 2, etc.) and the supplies that were used from the First Aid Kits so we can ensure the First Aid Kits are promptly replenished.

30. Report any unsafe or unusual behavior to the FCGC Range Officer or Shoot/Event Coordinator if one is present. Otherwise, please contact the Fayette County Sheriff’s Department (979) 968-5856.

31. Report any observed damages to the FCGC Range Officer or Shoot/Event Coordinator if one is present. Otherwise, please call the FCGC (979) 484-7177 and leave a message indicating where the damage(s) were observed and your contact information so we can contact you if we have any follow-up questions.
